DubaiSchools.ai (“we”, “us”) runs an independent school-comparison platform for the UAE. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@dubaischools.ai.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — if you sign up, we store your email address and an encrypted password (or a provider identifier for Google sign-in) via our authentication provider, Supabase.
- Usage data — we collect privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics (page views, referrers, country, device type) through Plausible Analytics. This data does not identify you and is not shared with third parties.
- Purchase attribution — for up to 30 days, your browser may keep a short first-party record of the DubaiSchools.ai page paths you visit, your landing page, referring domain and campaign tags. If you start Pro checkout, we attach that limited record to the payment so we can understand which journeys lead to purchases. We strip query strings, do not record form contents, and do not use this record for advertising.
- Payment data — if you upgrade to Pro, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Support messages — if you email us, we keep the message so we can respond and improve the product.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate and improve the service.
- Send transactional emails (sign-in, receipts, important account notices).
- Detect and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to train advertising profiles.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and localStorage entries to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as dark mode), cache saved shortlists, and retain the limited purchase-attribution journey described above for up to 30 days. Plausible does not use tracking cookies. We do not create the purchase-attribution record when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share the minimum information needed with the following processors:
- Supabase — authentication and database.
- Stripe — payments.
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly analytics.
- Netlify — site hosting and CDN.
Each processor is contractually bound to protect your data.
5. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us; we will remove your account and personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for tax or legal compliance.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dubaischools.ai and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
Our service is intended for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users promptly in the event of a breach.
9. AI / LLM crawlers
We explicitly allow AI search crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, OAI-SearchBot, CCBot, Bytespider, Applebot, Meta-ExternalAgent, and others) to read our pages. This is so AI assistants can cite our schools data accurately when users ask about Dubai schools. The data they read is exactly what every visitor sees — nothing personal, nothing scraped from accounts. Our llms.txt describes the site structure for AI clients.
10. Data sources and accuracy
School data on DubaiSchools.ai is compiled from KHDA's public inspection reports, ADEK's published guidance, Google Maps, and school websites. We update from source on a recurring schedule. If you spot something incorrect on a specific school, email hello@dubaischools.ai and we’ll cross-check.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-product notice.
